Articles of Faith and the Unseen · structured course
Muslims believe that اللّٰه(ALLAH) truly sent revelation before the Qur’an and that the Qur’an now stands as the decisive authority for belief and judgement. This course honours the Tawrah, Zabur and Injil as original revelation and explains them only through what the Qur’an establishes.

Primary · Saheeh International
We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allāh may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allāh is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
Compare · M. Pickthall
We verily sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance, that mankind may observe right measure; and He revealed iron, wherein is mighty power and (many) uses for mankind, and that Allah may know him who helpeth Him and His messengers, though unseen. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
We sent aforetime our messengers with Clear Signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance (of Right and Wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down Iron, in which is (material for) mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, Unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might (and able to enforce His Will).

Primary · Saheeh International
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allāh and avoid ṭāghūt."1 And among them were those whom Allāh guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed [i.e., travel] through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.
Compare · M. Pickthall
And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them (there were) whom Allah guided, and some of them (there were) upon whom error had just hold. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers!
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth).

Revelation is not presented as religious decoration. Qur’an 57:25 joins messengers, clear proofs, scripture and the balance with the establishment of justice. Qur’an 16:36 describes a shared call carried by messengers: worship اللّٰه(ALLAH) and avoid false worship. Guidance therefore tells people who their Creator is, why worship belongs to Him, how conduct is judged and where human beings return. Reason can observe, compare and ask, but it cannot manufacture a message from the Creator or discover the unseen independently. This course treats revelation as received authority, not a set of inspirational guesses.
Learning move: Build a purpose chain from the two panels: messenger, clear proof, scripture, balance, justice, exclusive worship. Draw an arrow only where the wording supports the relationship. Then explain why guidance is more than private inspiration. Your chain should show that revealed truth shapes worship and conduct without turning one translated phrase into an unqualified legal ruling.

Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allāh] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allāh, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price [i.e., worldly gain]. And whoever does not judge by what Allāh has revealed – then it is those who are the disbelievers.
Compare · M. Pickthall
Lo! We did reveal the Torah, wherein is guidance and a light, by which the prophets who surrendered (unto Allah) judged the Jews, and the rabbis and the priests (judged) by such of Allah's Scripture as they were bidden to observe, and thereunto were they witnesses. So fear not mankind, but fear Me. And My revelations for a little gain. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are disbelievers.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers.

Qur’an 3:3 states that the Book was revealed in truth, confirming what came before, and names the Tawrah and Injil as revelations sent down previously. Qur’an 5:44 calls the revealed Tawrah guidance and light. Qur’an 5:46 says the Injil was given to Isa son of Maryam, confirming the Tawrah, and describes it as guidance, light and admonition for the God-conscious. Qur’an 4:163 states that Dawud was given the Zabur. These are positive affirmations. Muslims do not mock the original books or treat belief in them as optional. At the same time, these verses do not authorise us to identify every document now carrying a related English label with the original revelation in every word.
Learning move: Make three book cards headed Tawrah, Zabur and Injil. On each, write only the recipient or quality stated by the displayed verse. Leave every unproved field blank. Read the cards aloud as affirmations of original revelation, then add one shared note: belief in the books does not make later textual collections the authority by which Muslims judge the Qur’an.

And We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him)], the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allāh has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allāh willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allāh is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.
The salutation is an editorial addition; the stored translation is unchanged.
Compare · M. Pickthall
And unto thee have We revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever Scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;

Qur’an 5:48 says the Qur’an was sent down in truth, confirming previous scripture and using the term muhaymin in relation to it. Named translations render that term with language such as authority, criterion, guardian or overseer. Rather than hiding those choices inside a blended sentence, the controlled panel preserves translator labels. The practical conclusion is clear even while the best English gloss remains under review: Muslims judge religious claims through what اللّٰه(ALLAH) revealed in the Qur’an. Confirmation is not permission to bypass it, and final authority is not permission to speak carelessly about everything contained in every later manuscript.
Learning move: Compare the named renderings of muhaymin shown in the 5:48 panel. Circle the relationship they share rather than choosing the most impressive English word. Your one-sentence conclusion must preserve both confirmation and governing authority. If it removes either part, revise it; if it claims to exhaust the Arabic, label it for qualified language review.

Qur’an 15:9 contains the promise that the Reminder was sent down and will be preserved. Qur’an 41:42 states that falsehood cannot approach the Book from before or behind. Qur’an 33:40 identifies Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him) as the Messenger of اللّٰه(ALLAH) and the seal of the prophets. Read together with Qur’an 5:48, these passages explain why Muslims receive the Qur’an as the preserved, governing revelation delivered through the final prophet. The course does not turn that conclusion into invented manuscript statistics or a claim that one short English rendering exhausts the Arabic.
Learning move: Arrange 5:48, 15:9, 41:42 and 33:40 as a four-step source route. Beside each key, write one contribution: authority, preservation, protection from falsehood or finality of prophethood. Explain the final-revelation conclusion using the whole route. Do not load a single verse with claims supplied only by the others.
Respectful speech does not require confused authority

Qur’an 29:46 instructs believers to engage the People of the Book in the best manner, apart from those who act wrongfully, and to affirm belief in what was sent down to both communities and the oneness of the God to whom believers submit. Good manners therefore grow from Tawheed. A learner can acknowledge shared prophetic history and original revelation while explaining that the Qur’an is the criterion now followed. The course rejects ridicule, sweeping accusations and hostile debate. It also rejects the opposite error of presenting all present texts, teachings and laws as interchangeable.
Learning move: Practise a respectful 30-second answer to someone from another faith. Begin with the one Creator and original revelation, then state that Muslims follow the Qur’an as criterion. Ask a partner to flag ridicule, collective blame or language that makes conflicting authorities interchangeable. Rewrite until the answer is both clear and gracious.
A transparent course with firm review boundaries
Lessons 073–076 move from the purpose of revelation to the named earlier books, then to the Qur’an’s authority and finally to respectful application. Two quizzes use 12 questions each, four options, answer-specific feedback and exact return locators. The evidence map helps learners separate original revelation, Qur’anic report, named translation and present textual tradition. Adults can assign every item, follow reading progress and support reattempts without treating a score as a verdict on faith. Questions about textual history, abrogation, a particular manuscript or another person’s belief remain for qualified scholarship rather than confident improvisation.
Learning move: Plan the learning route before starting the first lesson. Record which lesson answers purpose, named books, final authority and respectful application. Add the two mastery checks and evidence map. This overview prevents a learner from jumping from one verse to a sweeping conclusion and makes every review question traceable to a specific section.

Help a learner master Divine Books and the Qur'an's Final Authority
Articles of Faith and the Unseen · structured course Your role is to slow the learning down, keep the exact evidence visible and make it safe for the learner to say, “I am not sure yet.”
Begin with the source
Open the named ayah or hadith before explaining it. Tell the learner whether they are seeing Arabic revelation, a reading aid, a named translation, a hadith translation or editorial teaching.
Invite an answer before helping
Ask one precise question and wait. If the learner struggles, point to the relevant line, narrow the choice or replay the audio before supplying the answer.
Correct with dignity
Praise honest checking and careful effort. Correct the idea or sound without labelling the learner, and never turn a mistake into embarrassment.
01Prepare a focused session
Read Divine Books and the Qur'an's Final Authority yourself and open every cited source before inviting the learner.
Choose one realistic aim from the mastery statement. Do not try to teach the whole page in one sitting.
Test any Arabic audio. If a sound is outside your confidence, plan to listen together and seek correction from a capable teacher.
Remove distractions and decide when to stop: about 8–10 minutes for a younger child, 15–20 minutes for ages 8–11, or 20–30 minutes for an older learner.
Keep paper optional. If Qur’anic text is printed, follow the respect and waste guidance shown above the ayah panel.
Opening words: “We are going to learn one idea carefully and see exactly where it comes from. We can pause, replay and check the source whenever we need to.”
02Use a source-led teaching conversation
Connect: Ask what the learner already thinks the title means. Record the answer without immediately judging it.
Read or listen: Open the first evidence panel or cited report. Hear the complete Arabic before isolating one word or phrase.
Notice: Ask the learner to identify the exact words that support the first teaching point. A contextual word gloss is a clue; the complete named translation supplies the sentence meaning.
Explain: Read the teaching paragraph. Ask, “Which part came directly from the source, and which part is the writer helping us understand?”
Apply: Choose one practice task. Keep everyday examples within the boundary of the source; do not invent promises, hidden causes or rulings.
Retrieve: Close the explanation and ask the learner to state the idea, evidence locator and one careful application in their own words.
03Questions for this exact resource
“What does Revelation brings guidance into accountable human life mean here, and which words or source locator support your answer (Qur'an 57:25)?”
“What does The Qur'an names earlier books with honour mean here, and which words or source locator support your answer (Qur'an 16:36)?”
“Which sentence is revelation or hadith, and which sentence is explanation?”
“What would be an overstatement that the cited source does not allow us to make?”
04Adapt the same truth for different ages
Ages 5–7
Teach one short source phrase and one meaning. Use text cards, colour bands, paths or simple geometric symbols—never a picture of اللّٰه(ALLAH) and never an image that implies His form. Let the child point, match, listen and repeat once or twice.
Ages 8–11
Use two or three evidence cards and ask the learner to match each idea to its locator. Invite a short explanation in their own words, then reopen the source to correct it together.
Ages 12–15
Compare the named English translations where provided. Ask what wording differs, what remains constant, and why a translation must not be called the Arabic Qur’an itself.
Ages 16+ and adults
Require a precise claim, an exact source locator and a stated boundary. Invite the learner to distinguish established meaning from inference and to mark any unresolved question for qualified review.
05Support Arabic without creating false confidence
Listen to the whole ayah or supplication first.
Follow the Arabic from right to left and use the word-level controls only after hearing the complete wording.
Treat transliteration as temporary scaffolding. It cannot reproduce every Arabic sound.
Let the learner echo a short unit, then return it to the full phrase so meaning and pronunciation remain connected.
If neither of you can hear or form a sound confidently, record it for a capable Qur’an or Arabic teacher. Do not manufacture an English substitute and call it exact.
Gentle correction: “Let us listen once more and notice where the sound begins,” protects both accuracy and confidence.
06Choose one useful follow-up
Study every controlled evidence panel in context.
Complete the consolidation prompt and use saved progress to resume precisely.
Complete one task independently before adding another. Adult support should reveal the route, not hide whether the learner can use it.
07Revisit for durable mastery
After 24 hours · five minutes
Ask for the central idea without showing the answer.
Ask the learner to find its source locator.
Replay one Arabic phrase and reconnect it to the complete meaning.
Correct by reopening the source, then end with one successful retrieval.
After seven days · eight minutes
Ask for the idea, source and boundary in the learner’s own words.
Retry the most difficult mastery question.
Apply the idea to one new but appropriate situation.
Record what is secure and what needs another supported attempt.
