Divine Names study
A transparent first answer
Al-Adl is commonly listed as The Just. Justice is unquestionably central to Qur’anic teaching, and the Qur’an commands justice in many settings. However, the selected ʿadl noun check found no Divine-referent title occurrence. This page must say that clearly.
A true theological teaching and an exact-title occurrence are not the same kind of evidence. We may affirm that اللّٰه (ALLAH) is never unjust on the basis of revelation, while refusing to pretend that fourteen selected ʿadl nouns are fourteen uses of Al-Adl as a Divine Name.
The current release state is therefore HOLD_ZERO_DIVINE_REFERENT_SELECTED_LEMMA. Separate authentic hadith evidence for the individual title would need to be documented and qualified before this page could move beyond the hold.
What the controlled occurrence ledger establishes
The selected search found fourteen raw candidates and all fourteen are valid ʿadl noun records. None refers to اللّٰه (ALLAH) as a title. All fourteen are non-Divine; none is unresolved and none is an extraction false positive.
The complete locator set is 2:48, 2:123, two tokens at 2:282, 4:58, two at 5:95, 5:106, 6:70, 6:115, 16:76, 16:90, 49:9 and 65:2. Their meanings include compensation or ransom, justice or just conduct, just witnesses or people, and equivalence. Context decides which.
Six candidates carry the article within a construction meaning “with/in justice”: both at 2:282, then 4:58, 16:76, 16:90 and 49:9. All six still refer to abstract justice or just conduct, not to اللّٰه (ALLAH). Article-bearing does not automatically mean Divine title.
The basmalah adds zero. Fourteen related verbs form a separate lane and require contextual classification. They must not be added to the noun total or described as title occurrences.
Why the Qur’an panels are thematic rather than title proofs
This page does not present any verse as an exact Divine-name proof because the audited lemma provides none. The controlled justice panels below are therefore labelled as thematic teaching evidence and must not be presented as Al-Adl title occurrences.
Qur’anic Arabic is not typed manually to decorate this hold page. Each thematic panel uses controlled QPC Hafs text, word alignment, named translations and provenance through the established pipeline.

And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Perfected is the Word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower.
The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.

Qur’an 6:115 is a thematic justice panel, not an Al-Adl title proof. Its selected ʿadl noun concerns justice in the completed word of the Lord. The target does not grammatically name اللّٰه (ALLAH), so the panel strengthens the justice lesson while leaving the zero-Divine title hold unchanged.

Indeed, Allāh commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allāh instructs you. Indeed, Allāh is ever Hearing and Seeing.
Lo! Allah commandeth you that ye restore deposits to their owners, and, if ye judge between mankind, that ye judge justly. Lo! comely is this which Allah admonisheth you. Lo! Allah is ever Hearer, Seer.
Allah doth command you to render back your Trusts to those to whom they are due; And when ye judge between man and man, that ye judge with justice: Verily how excellent is the teaching which He giveth you! For Allah is He Who heareth and seeth all things.

Qur’an 4:58 commands trusts to be returned and judgement between people to be carried out with justice. Again, the article-bearing target is the abstract justice noun, not a Divine title. The panel demonstrates why a powerful Divine command must not be counted as an occurrence of the Name.
At 2:48, 2:123 and 6:70, the noun concerns compensation or ransom. At 2:282, 4:58, 6:115, 16:76, 16:90 and 49:9 it concerns justice, truthful balance or just conduct. At 5:95, 5:106 and 65:2 it describes just people or witnesses in context; another 5:95 record concerns equivalence.
This variety shows why an English keyword search is not enough. The same Arabic lemma can function in different constructions. A careful educator names the form, meaning in context and referent instead of announcing a dramatic total.
The raw adjacency system found Al-Waliyy followed by Al-Adl at 2:282. That is not a Divine Name pair. The first term is a human guardian and the second is the abstract justice noun in the instruction to dictate justly. Both sides are non-Divine in this check.
Justice without inventing title evidence
The evidence hold does not make justice unimportant. It makes the method honest. Qur’anic commands to judge fairly, give trusts properly, speak truthfully and avoid oppression remain powerful teachings. They simply belong in a thematic justice lesson unless separate title evidence is authenticated.
Learners should see that precision honours revelation. Inflating a Name count to make a page sound impressive would weaken trust. Saying “the selected lemma has zero Divine referents” is not disrespect; it is refusing to put words into the Qur’an.
Nor should the hold be filled with an unsourced claim from a popular poster. A catalogue tradition can be studied, but its evidence status must be explicit. This page does not authenticate a hadith title without a documented source and qualified guidance.
The Creator and human justice
Human beings are commanded to act justly but remain limited, biased and capable of error. A fair policy, witness or judgement is created conduct. It does not make the person a bearer of a Divine title in the sense being audited here.
Affirming perfect justice for اللّٰه (ALLAH) does not allow us to invent the hidden reason behind every painful event. Nor does it excuse human wrongdoing with “everything happens for a reason”. Oppression must be opposed through truthful, safe and lawful means.
Justice also requires evidence. Rumour, group loyalty and anger cannot become proof. Children and vulnerable people deserve safeguarding, not pressure to accept harm in the name of patience or family reputation.
Living the Qur’anic command to justice
Tell the truth even when it costs social approval. Return trusts. Record agreements carefully. Hear more than one side where it is safe and appropriate. Correct a false statement rather than protecting your group.
Do not confuse equality with identical treatment in every situation; justice considers rights, responsibilities and relevant differences. At the same time, do not use that nuance as a cover for prejudice. Claims require reasons and accountable standards.
Seek qualified help when a case involves law, abuse, health, finance or safeguarding. Spiritual language must support responsible action, not replace it. A person facing immediate danger should contact appropriate emergency or specialist services.
Keep the evidence hold intact in teaching. Say: “This lesson studies justice in the Qur’an; the exact Al-Adl title remains under evidence review.” That sentence is both simple and honest.
A worked evidence-hold method
Evidence holds should be teachable, not hidden in small print. Begin by writing two questions: “Does the Qur’an teach justice?” and “Does this selected noun name اللّٰه (ALLAH) in the audited records?” The answer to the first is yes; the answer to the second is no. Learners often confuse these because the English ideas are close.
Use the fourteen locator cards and classify what each token does. Some concern ransom or compensation; some concern acting or speaking with justice; some identify just witnesses or people; one concerns equivalence. None has a Divine referent. The exercise demonstrates that valid candidates are not false positives simply because they do not prove the desired title.
Next, take the six article-bearing records. Ask whether adding the article settles referent. It does not. In these constructions the words still indicate justice or just conduct. Grammar supplies evidence, but no single feature replaces reading the sentence.
Show the 2:282 machine adjacency only after explaining the verse setting. A nearby human guardian and justice noun can resemble two catalogue labels to software. Human contextual review identifies both as non-Divine here. This is why bulk publication needs a referent gate.
Ask learners to rewrite an inaccurate statement. “Al-Adl appears fourteen times as a Divine Name” becomes: “The audited ʿadl noun appears in fourteen valid records, all with non-Divine meanings such as justice, compensation, equivalence or a just person; the individual title remains under evidence review.” The second sentence is longer because truth sometimes needs qualification.
Finally, discuss what could change the hold. Repetition on websites cannot. A documented authentic hadith or other admissible source must be identified, its Arabic and grading checked, its wording shown to establish the individual title, and appropriately qualified scholars or professionals must sign the evidence decision. Until then, the honest output is a hold.
Assessment should reward restraint. A learner succeeds when they can value Qur’anic justice without manufacturing a title count, explain the article-bearing non-Divine forms and preserve the exact hold wording.
A publication exercise can help editors. Give learners a draft meta description saying, “Discover fourteen Qur’anic appearances of the Divine Name Al-Adl.” They should reject it because it converts non-Divine nouns into title occurrences. A safe description would say that the review examines justice vocabulary and transparently explains why the individual title remains on evidence hold.
Discuss why zero is not failure. A zero result narrows the claim, prevents copied misinformation and tells researchers where further source work is needed. Reliable scholarship sometimes produces a boundary rather than a polished conclusion. Recording that boundary is part of serving readers.
For a practical justice task, learners can check a fictional classroom rule. Who is affected? What evidence justified it? Is there an appeal? Are vulnerable learners protected? The task applies Qur’anic concern for justice without claiming that the rule itself reveals the unseen judgement of اللّٰه (ALLAH).
Close by retrieving the four classification numbers and the exact hold phrase. The learner should also name the false 2:282 pairing and explain why article-bearing form alone never settles Divine referent.
Pronunciation and evidence boundaries
The precision transliteration al-ʿAdl uses a sign for an Arabic throat consonant that English spelling does not reproduce. Learn it from a qualified teacher. Do not turn transliteration into a substitute for Arabic.
Translation is a named human rendering and tafsir is named scholarly explanation. Neither should be merged into the Qur’anic Arabic. The installed thematic panels keep those layers visibly separate and disclose that they teach justice rather than prove a Divine selected-lemma occurrence.

The Qur’an teaches justice, but this selected word search found no case where the fourteen nouns name اللّٰه (ALLAH).
Ages 5–7 with an adult
Use a fictional sharing problem. Ask what would be fair, then explain that a good action is not automatically a Divine title occurrence.
Ages 8–11
Sort example cards into compensation, justice, just person and equivalence. Keep “Divine title” empty.
Ages 12–15
Explain why six article-bearing nouns still remain non-Divine.
Ages 16+ and adults
Defend the HOLD_ZERO_DIVINE_REFERENT_SELECTED_LEMMA decision and state what new evidence would be needed to change it.
Adult and teacher guide
Start by asking whether a theme and a title are identical evidence claims. Let learners explain the difference. Then retrieve the count: fourteen raw, fourteen valid, zero Divine, fourteen non-Divine.
Use four labelled baskets: compensation, justice/conduct, just person/witness and equivalence. Place locator cards using the controlled classification. The goal is not memorising every verse at once; it is learning why context controls classification.
Ask older learners to investigate the false machine pairing at 2:282. They should identify the human guardian and abstract justice noun. This demonstrates why adjacency without referent review is unsafe.
With children, avoid inviting disclosures about punishment or family favouritism. Use fictional situations. If a child reports harm, follow safeguarding policy. Never use “be patient” to suppress a safety concern.
Review after one day and one week. A correct answer must preserve the zero-Divine hold, not simply repeat that justice is important.

Frequently asked questions
Does this audit find fourteen Qur’anic uses of Al-Adl as a Divine Name?
No. It finds fourteen valid nouns and all fourteen have non-Divine referents.
Does the article prove a Divine title?
No. Six article-bearing records still mean abstract justice or just conduct.
Does the hold deny that اللّٰه (ALLAH) is just?
No. It separates the theological teaching of perfect justice from an unsupported selected-title count.
Can commands to justice authenticate the title?
Not by themselves. Individual title evidence needs its own documented source and review.
May this page be indexed as settled?
No. It remains a noindex under an explicit evidence hold.
