O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts.1 Lawful for you are the animals of grazing livestock except for that which is recited to you [in this Qur’ān] – hunting not being permitted while you are in the state of iḥrām.2 Indeed, Allāh ordains what He intends.
O ye who believe! Fulfil your indentures. The beast of cattle is made lawful unto you (for food) except that which is announced unto you (herein), game being unlawful when ye are on the pilgrimage. Lo! Allah ordaineth that which pleaseth Him.
O ye who believe! fulfil (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals, with the exceptions named: But animals of the chase are forbidden while ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb: for Allah doth command according to His will and plan.

Qur’an 83:1–3 condemns those who demand full measure for themselves but give others less. Test quantity, quality, timing, capability and limitations against what the customer was led to expect. Hakim ibn Hizam reported that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him) taught that buyer and seller retain a choice before parting; when both speak truthfully and disclose qualities or defects, their sale is blessed, while lying and concealment remove its blessing.
The report establishes truthfulness and material disclosure as central transaction ethics and preserves a pre-separation choice in the reported setting.

Sahih al-Bukhari 2079 connects truthfulness and disclosure of qualities or defects with blessing, and lying or concealment with its loss. Indeed, Allāh commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allāh instructs you. Indeed, Allāh is ever Hearing and Seeing.
Lo! Allah commandeth you that ye restore deposits to their owners, and, if ye judge between mankind, that ye judge justly. Lo! comely is this which Allah admonisheth you. Lo! Allah is ever Hearer, Seer.

Sahih al-Bukhari 6094 connects truthfulness with righteousness and warns that repeated lying leads toward wickedness. Sahih Muslim 55a states that religion is sincere counsel and names the Creator, His Book, His Messenger, leaders and people.
