Ayah 30:30
A human-reviewed full transliteration is being prepared. Listen to the complete ayah and use the Arabic with a capable teacher rather than relying on an unreviewed technical conversion.
Transliteration can help you begin, but it cannot reproduce every Arabic sound or replace listening, tajwid study, or correction from a capable teacher.Read from right to left. Each column keeps one Arabic word, its reading aid and its contextual gloss together. Select a word to hear it.
Saheeh International is the primary reading. The two named comparisons make translation choices visible; none is presented as the Arabic Qur’an itself.
So direct your face [i.e., self] toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fiṭrah of Allāh upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allāh. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.
So set thy purpose (O Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him)) for religion as a man by nature upright – the nature (framed) of Allah, in which He hath created man. There is no altering (the laws of) Allah's creation. That is the right religion, but most men know not –
The salutation is an editorial addition; the stored translation is unchanged. So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allah's handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not.

Help a learner master Fitrah, Purpose and Accountability Reflection Map
An assignable source-to-claim map with overclaim and safeguarding checks. Your role is to slow the learning down, keep the exact evidence visible and make it safe for the learner to say, “I am not sure yet.”
Open the named ayah or hadith before explaining it. Tell the learner whether they are seeing Arabic revelation, a reading aid, a named translation, a hadith translation or editorial teaching.
Ask one precise question and wait. If the learner struggles, point to the relevant line, narrow the choice or replay the audio before supplying the answer.
Praise honest checking and careful effort. Correct the idea or sound without labelling the learner, and never turn a mistake into embarrassment.
01Prepare a focused session
- Read Fitrah, Purpose and Accountability Reflection Map yourself and open every cited source before inviting the learner.
- Choose one realistic aim from the mastery statement. Do not try to teach the whole page in one sitting.
- Test any Arabic audio. If a sound is outside your confidence, plan to listen together and seek correction from a capable teacher.
- Remove distractions and decide when to stop: about 8–10 minutes for a younger child, 15–20 minutes for ages 8–11, or 20–30 minutes for an older learner.
- Keep paper optional. If Qur’anic text is printed, follow the respect and waste guidance shown above the ayah panel.
Opening words: “We are going to learn one idea carefully and see exactly where it comes from. We can pause, replay and check the source whenever we need to.”
02Use a source-led teaching conversation
- Connect: Ask what the learner already thinks the title means. Record the answer without immediately judging it.
- Read or listen: Open the first evidence panel or cited report. Hear the complete Arabic before isolating one word or phrase.
- Notice: Ask the learner to identify the exact words that support the first teaching point. A contextual word gloss is a clue; the complete named translation supplies the sentence meaning.
- Explain: Read the teaching paragraph. Ask, “Which part came directly from the source, and which part is the writer helping us understand?”
- Apply: Choose one practice task. Keep everyday examples within the boundary of the source; do not invent promises, hidden causes or rulings.
- Retrieve: Close the explanation and ask the learner to state the idea, evidence locator and one careful application in their own words.
04Adapt the same truth for different ages
Ages 5–7
Teach one short source phrase and one meaning. Use text cards, colour bands, paths or simple geometric symbols—never a picture of اللّٰه (ALLAH) and never an image that implies His form. Let the child point, match, listen and repeat once or twice.
Ages 8–11
Use two or three evidence cards and ask the learner to match each idea to its locator. Invite a short explanation in their own words, then reopen the source to correct it together.
Ages 12–15
Compare the named English translations where provided. Ask what wording differs, what remains constant, and why a translation must not be called the Arabic Qur’an itself.
Ages 16+ and adults
Require a precise claim, an exact source locator and a stated boundary. Invite the learner to distinguish established meaning from inference and to mark any unresolved question for qualified review.
05Support Arabic without creating false confidence
- Listen to the whole ayah or supplication first.
- Follow the Arabic from right to left and use the word-level controls only after hearing the complete wording.
- Treat transliteration as temporary scaffolding. It cannot reproduce every Arabic sound.
- Let the learner echo a short unit, then return it to the full phrase so meaning and pronunciation remain connected.
- If neither of you can hear or form a sound confidently, record it for a capable Qur’an or Arabic teacher. Do not manufacture an English substitute and call it exact.
Gentle correction: “Let us listen once more and notice where the sound begins,” protects both accuracy and confidence.
06Choose one useful follow-up
- Complete one private evidence row.
Complete one task independently before adding another. Adult support should reveal the route, not hide whether the learner can use it.
07Revisit for durable mastery
After 24 hours · five minutes
- Ask for the central idea without showing the answer.
- Ask the learner to find its source locator.
- Replay one Arabic phrase and reconnect it to the complete meaning.
- Correct by reopening the source, then end with one successful retrieval.
After seven days · eight minutes
- Ask for the idea, source and boundary in the learner’s own words.
- Retry the most difficult mastery question.
- Apply the idea to one new but appropriate situation.
- Record what is secure and what needs another supported attempt.
Model one completed row before asking a learner to work alone. Younger learners can say their response aloud. Teenagers may use fictional online or school scenarios. Adults can use work or family examples, but nobody should be pressured to disclose trauma, wrongdoing or private belief.
If the exercise raises abuse, self-harm, danger, severe anxiety or compulsive religious doubt, pause it and follow an appropriate safeguarding or professional support route.
