Knowledge checks and feedback

Answer questions, understand the result and use feedback to improve your next attempt.

Before you begin

Study the linked lesson and its sources first. You may complete public knowledge checks without signing in. To retain attempts, scores and time in your learning record, sign in before submitting the attempt.

Complete a check

  1. Open the quiz or the knowledge-check section inside a resource. If shown, use Start knowledge check or Continue knowledge check.
  2. Read every question and its Evidence locator. Select one answer for each question.
  3. Select Mark my answers when ready. If a question is unanswered, complete it before submitting.
  4. Read the result and feedback. Use the evidence locator to revisit the relevant source rather than guessing your way through.

Retry and understand your score

The current mastery checks require 100%. You can retry as many times as you need. A result needing rework is a prompt to revisit the material, not a judgement about you.

A signed-in dashboard card can show Last score, Best score, Attempts and View attempt history. Best score and last score may differ after a later attempt; a previously passed record remains passed. Reading a lesson to 100% does not automatically pass a separate quiz.

If submission or feedback seems wrong

Check for unanswered questions and read any message above the form. If your session expired, sign in again and reload the resource before another attempt. Feedback should bring you to the result section; if you lose your place, look for the result below the check.

For a disputed answer, report the exact question, page address and evidence locator. Avoid including a student’s identity or a screenshot of unrelated private records.
