The Twenty-Five Prophets Named in the Qur’an · lesson 4
The final cluster brings together a prayer answered with Yahya, the miraculous good news of Isa, the correction of worship directed to Isa, and the Qur’an’s explicit naming of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him) as Messenger and seal of the prophets. The course ends where every prophetic account points: the messenger is honoured and followed as a servant sent by the Creator, while worship remains for اللّٰه (ALLAH) alone.

Qur’an 19:2 introduces a mention of the Lord’s mercy to His servant Zakariyya; Qur’an 19:7 records the good news to him of a boy named Yahya; and Qur’an 6:85 includes both among the righteous. Begin with servanthood and mercy, then let learners see Yahya’s name in the controlled Arabic panel, transliteration and named translations, which may render the name as Yahya or John. Read the complete controlled Arabic panel, transliteration and named translations before summarising the point in your own words.
Read the complete evidence panel before reducing it to a step. The Arabic, named translation, source locator and explanation have different roles; preserving those roles lets a learner worship with confidence without turning a short guide into an unsupported ruling.
Keep three lines in your notes: what the source explicitly says, what this lesson explains, and what remains for qualified review. That structure makes later correction clear rather than embarrassing.
These panels do not supply a complete biography or guarantee the same worldly outcome for every prayer; a translation-name choice must not be mistaken for a different person. The familiar twenty-five-name list is a teaching arrangement, not a claim that only twenty-five prophets existed. This is a Qur’an-primary learning resource, not an independent chronology, genealogy, archaeological claim, biography, tafsir verdict or ranking of prophets. Do not add a date, place, family link, dialogue, appearance, miracle detail or moral judgement unless the displayed Qur’anic wording establishes it. Named translations communicate meaning but are not the Arabic Qur’an. Historical sequence, Arabic usage, tafsir, variant identification and disputed details remain assigned to qualified Qur’an, Arabic, theology and prophetic-history review before indexing.
Learning move: Write two sentences about “Zakariyya receives the good news of Yahya”: one limited to what the displayed verse states and one labelled learning reflection. Do not import a detail from memory.

Qur’an 3:45 announces the Messiah, Isa son of Maryam, while Qur’an 5:72 records the Messiah directing the Children of Israel to worship اللّٰه (ALLAH), his Lord and their Lord. Honour Isa as the Qur’an honours him and preserve his own Tawheed call without depicting him, mocking another faith or importing an outside creed as Qur’anic wording. Read the complete controlled Arabic panel, transliteration and named translations before summarising the point in your own words.
A beginner needs a usable route and an honest boundary at the same time. Learn the shared practice first, record any circumstance that changes it, and take medical, financial, disability or school-specific questions to a qualified person who can examine the real case.
Read once for meaning and a second time for boundaries. On the second reading, test strong words such as always, never, invalid and required against the complete evidence shown.
Theological comparison requires full context, respectful language and qualified review; this lesson does not invite hostility toward Christians. Calm completeness is the goal. Repeating an action without evidence, rushing past a required distinction, or ignoring real harm can all move the learner away from careful worship. Work through the evidence once slowly, check once, and improve through reviewed teaching.
An adult guiding a child should praise careful attention and an honest “I need to ask” answer. The aim is worship with understanding, not performance for the teacher.

Muḥammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allāh; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allāh and [His] pleasure. Their sign is in their faces from the effect of prostration [i.e., prayer]. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers – so that He [i.e., Allāh] may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allāh has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.

For a younger learner, use plain words, a visual sequence without animate imagery and one correction at a time. Adults should protect privacy, explain unfamiliar terms and never use religious teaching to shame a child.
If terminology becomes difficult, return to the practical question: what is the learner preparing to do, which step is established here, and what fact about the person or situation could change the answer?

Qur’an 4:163 and 6:84–86 gather many prophetic names across compact passages, showing that a learner’s twenty-five-name map is assembled from revelation across the Qur’an rather than copied from one numbered verse. Finish by checking every name against at least one panel and marking which accounts deserve a full later course. Read the complete controlled Arabic panel, transliteration and named translations before summarising the point in your own words.
Save the exact point that needs review. A useful learning record says what was completed, what remains uncertain, which source was checked and who should help next. That is more valuable than a confident tick beside a misunderstood step.
Explain the practice in plain language before using legal vocabulary. If the simple sentence overstates the evidence, a technical Arabic label will not repair it.

The course ends where every prophetic account points: the messenger is honoured and followed as a servant sent by the Creator, while worship remains for اللّٰه (ALLAH) alone. Your role is to slow the learning down, keep the exact evidence visible and make it safe for the learner to say, “I am not sure yet.” Open the named ayah or hadith before explaining it. Tell the learner whether they are seeing Arabic revelation, a reading aid, a named translation, a hadith translation or editorial teaching. Ask one precise question and wait. If the learner struggles, point to the relevant line, narrow the choice or replay the audio before supplying the answer. Praise honest checking and careful effort. Correct the idea or sound without labelling the learner, and never turn a mistake into embarrassment. Opening words: “We are going to learn one idea carefully and see exactly where it comes from. We can pause, replay and check the source whenever we need to.” Teach one short source phrase and one meaning. Use text cards, colour bands, paths or simple geometric symbols—never a picture of اللّٰه (ALLAH) and never an image that implies His form. Let the child point, match, listen and repeat once or twice. Use two or three evidence cards and ask the learner to match each idea to its locator. Invite a short explanation in their own words, then reopen the source to correct it together. Compare the named English translations where provided. Ask what wording differs, what remains constant, and why a translation must not be called the Arabic Qur’an itself. Require a precise claim, an exact source locator and a stated boundary. Invite the learner to distinguish established meaning from inference and to mark any unresolved question for qualified review. Gentle correction: “Let us listen once more and notice where the sound begins,” protects both accuracy and confidence. Complete one task independently before adding another.
