Begin with the Qur’an as the controlling revelation, then identify authenticated Prophetic evidence and later scholarly explanation. The assessment rewards the answer that keeps those layers visible.
A question may sound devotional while still overstating its proof. Read for the source actually named rather than the emotional force of the sentence.
Use the correction as part of the learning, not merely as a mark. Reopen the named panel, identify the word or distinction missed, and write a one-sentence reason before attempting the item again.
Keep a written distinction between the evidence itself, the explanation offered here and the conclusion you are presently entitled to repeat. That record makes later correction clear rather than embarrassing.
No assessment result authorises personal religious verdicts or independent hadith grading.
Review move: Draw the hierarchy before opening question one.

Meaning in translation
Saheeh International is the primary reading. The two named comparisons make translation choices visible; none is presented as the Arabic Qur’an itself.

And what Allāh restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns – it is for Allāh and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives1 and orphans and the needy and the [stranded] traveler2 – so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you – take; and what he has forbidden you – refrain from. And fear Allāh; indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty.
Compare · M. Pickthall
That which Allah giveth as spoil unto His messenger from the people of the townships, it is for Allah and His messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, that it become not a commodity between the rich among you. And whatsoever the messenger giveth you, take it. And whatsoever he forbiddeth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is stern in reprisal.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah; for Allah is strict in Punishment.

Qur’anic wording, a hadith report, the reliably established Sunnah and a sirah reconstruction are connected categories with different evidence routes.
The correct answer will not turn translation into Arabic revelation or historical synthesis into a Prophetic quotation.
A 100% result records mastery of this assessment at this moment. It does not certify scholarship, narrator criticism, legal competence or the ability to authenticate a new report without qualified supervision.
Read the complete section once for understanding and a second time for source control. On the second reading, test every strong word—always, never, proves, requires or authentic—against the evidence displayed.
No assessment result authorises personal religious verdicts or independent hadith grading.

First establish whether the report and wording are reliably attributed. Only then ask about meaning, scope, other evidence and application.
A sahih label is important, but it does not make an isolated English line a complete ruling.
When two options sound plausible, choose the one that preserves the source hierarchy and leaves specialist questions open. Overstatement is not made safer by being emotionally reassuring or widely repeated.
An adult guiding a child should invite the child to ask where a claim came from. Reward the careful “I do not know yet” answer whenever the source trail is incomplete.

Every option-specific response returns you to a verse or hadith locator and states the controlling distinction. Use that evidence before beginning the next attempt.
Do not memorise the position of the answer. Explain why the other three choices crossed a boundary.
The saved attempt should help a learner return to the exact weakness: source identity, terminology, grading, context or application. Adults assigning the check should discuss that category rather than focusing only on the percentage.
If the terminology becomes difficult, return to the practical question: what is being attributed, through which evidence, according to whom, and what remains to be checked before acting?

How religious knowledge will be taken away

Displayed grading
Sahih — Collection placement. This records the named grading shown by the source; Tawheed Club does not silently present it as an unqualified editorial verdict.
Arabic scope
Exact Prophetic matn copied from the inspected record. It warns against answers without knowledge; it does not establish that any one contemporary institution is infallible.

Controlled check
Collection, number, chapter context, Arabic report text, displayed grading and source URL checked 30 August 2026. Qualified hadith and Arabic review remain release gates.
After passing, practise on a real quotation: locate it, label it, read context, record a named judgement and ask for help where the claim affects belief or practice.
If the source cannot be established, say so clearly and do not attribute the words to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him).
Complete the check without searching for the answer in a clipped quotation. The purpose is to practise a durable method that can later be used when a social post, video or AI answer presents a religious claim.
Complete the task in plain language before using technical vocabulary. If the plain sentence overstates the evidence, an Arabic label or scholarly term will not repair it.
No assessment result authorises personal religious verdicts or independent hadith grading.
Review move: Verify one new claim with an adult or qualified teacher.

Qur’an evidence
Qur'an-primary; controlled Quran Foundation QPC Hafs panels. Named translations are human renderings and later methodology is separately attributed. Arabic, word alignment, transliteration and named translations are supplied through the separately labelled Quran Foundation panels.
Hadith evidence
Controlled authenticated record: bukhari:1291, bukhari:107, bukhari:2697, bukhari:100. Collection placement, grading, interpretation and application remain distinct. The collection and reference are preserved; a named displayed grading is not silently changed into a universal claim.
Teaching explanation
Explanatory prose, examples, diagrams and adult teaching advice are Tawheed Club editorial material. They are never presented as Qur’an, translation, tafsir or words of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him).

Help a learner master Qur'an and Sunnah Source Boundaries: Mastery Check
Why the Sunnah Matters · mastery check Your role is to slow the learning down, keep the exact evidence visible and make it safe for the learner to say, “I am not sure yet.”
Begin with the source
Open the named ayah or hadith before explaining it. Tell the learner whether they are seeing Arabic revelation, a reading aid, a named translation, a hadith translation or editorial teaching.
Invite an answer before helping
Ask one precise question and wait. If the learner struggles, point to the relevant line, narrow the choice or replay the audio before supplying the answer.
Correct with dignity
Praise honest checking and careful effort. Correct the idea or sound without labelling the learner, and never turn a mistake into embarrassment.
01Prepare a focused session
Read Qur'an and Sunnah Source Boundaries: Mastery Check yourself and open every cited source before inviting the learner.
Choose one realistic aim from the mastery statement. Do not try to teach the whole page in one sitting.
Test any Arabic audio. If a sound is outside your confidence, plan to listen together and seek correction from a capable teacher.
Remove distractions and decide when to stop: about 8–10 minutes for a younger child, 15–20 minutes for ages 8–11, or 20–30 minutes for an older learner.
Keep paper optional. If Qur’anic text is printed, follow the respect and waste guidance shown above the ayah panel.
Opening words: “We are going to learn one idea carefully and see exactly where it comes from. We can pause, replay and check the source whenever we need to.”
02Use a source-led teaching conversation
Connect: Ask what the learner already thinks the title means. Record the answer without immediately judging it.
Read or listen: Open the first evidence panel or cited report. Hear the complete Arabic before isolating one word or phrase.
Notice: Ask the learner to identify the exact words that support the first teaching point. A contextual word gloss is a clue; the complete named translation supplies the sentence meaning.
Explain: Read the teaching paragraph. Ask, “Which part came directly from the source, and which part is the writer helping us understand?”
Apply: Choose one practice task. Keep everyday examples within the boundary of the source; do not invent promises, hidden causes or rulings.
Retrieve: Close the explanation and ask the learner to state the idea, evidence locator and one careful application in their own words.
03Questions for this exact resource
“What does Prepare the source hierarchy before answering mean here, and which words or source locator support your answer (Qur'an 4:80)?”
“What does Distinguish revelation, report and explanation mean here, and which words or source locator support your answer (Qur'an 4:59)?”
“Which sentence is revelation or hadith, and which sentence is explanation?”
“What would be an overstatement that the cited source does not allow us to make?”
04Adapt the same truth for different ages
Ages 5–7
Teach one short source phrase and one meaning. Use text cards, colour bands, paths or simple geometric symbols—never a picture of اللّٰه(ALLAH) and never an image that implies His form. Let the child point, match, listen and repeat once or twice.
Ages 8–11
Use two or three evidence cards and ask the learner to match each idea to its locator. Invite a short explanation in their own words, then reopen the source to correct it together.
Ages 12–15
Compare the named English translations where provided. Ask what wording differs, what remains constant, and why a translation must not be called the Arabic Qur’an itself.
Ages 16+ and adults
Require a precise claim, an exact source locator and a stated boundary. Invite the learner to distinguish established meaning from inference and to mark any unresolved question for qualified review.
05Support Arabic without creating false confidence
Listen to the whole ayah or supplication first.
Follow the Arabic from right to left and use the word-level controls only after hearing the complete wording.
Treat transliteration as temporary scaffolding. It cannot reproduce every Arabic sound.
Let the learner echo a short unit, then return it to the full phrase so meaning and pronunciation remain connected.
If neither of you can hear or form a sound confidently, record it for a capable Qur’an or Arabic teacher. Do not manufacture an English substitute and call it exact.
Gentle correction: “Let us listen once more and notice where the sound begins,” protects both accuracy and confidence.
06Choose one useful follow-up
Answer all twelve questions.
Use answer-specific feedback and exact source locators before retrying until 100% mastery.
Complete one task independently before adding another. Adult support should reveal the route, not hide whether the learner can use it.
07Revisit for durable mastery
After 24 hours · five minutes
Ask for the central idea without showing the answer.
Ask the learner to find its source locator.
Replay one Arabic phrase and reconnect it to the complete meaning.
Correct by reopening the source, then end with one successful retrieval.
After seven days · eight minutes
Ask for the idea, source and boundary in the learner’s own words.
Retry the most difficult mastery question.
Apply the idea to one new but appropriate situation.
Record what is secure and what needs another supported attempt.
