Qur’an 30:21 describes spouses, tranquillity, affection and mercy among the signs of اللّٰه (ALLAH). Use these as values to examine conduct, not as language for denying a household’s actual condition.

Each gold Qur’an panel uses the locked Uthmani Arabic catalogue and separately named English translations. The page keeps direct Qur’anic teaching, authentic hadith, qualified interpretation, current law, safeguarding guidance and Tawheed Club’s educational explanation in separate categories. A translation is not the Arabic Qur’an, a cultural expectation is not revelation, and a general webpage cannot decide an individual marriage, legal dispute or safeguarding case.

Dignity boundary: men and women are created servants of اللّٰه (ALLAH), morally accountable to Him and never objects of worship. Honour is not measured by sex, ethnicity, wealth, disability, marital status, fertility, occupation or conformity to a stereotype. The Qur’an may assign or discuss particular responsibilities without permitting contempt, exploitation or denial of an established right.

Question fields: What happened or needs deciding? ______. Who is affected? ______. What is directly known? ______. What is assumed? ______. Which Qur’an verse or hadith is being cited? ______. Who is qualified to apply it? ______.

Do not write names or identifying details in an educational copy. If another person monitors devices or papers, do not create or store this record where they can find it.

For adults teaching children: teach dignity, permission, privacy, kind speech and safe disclosure through fictional, age-appropriate examples. Never ask a child to judge adult marital conflict, carry messages between adults or keep abuse secret. Give every child at least two trusted adults and a simple phrase such as “I need help and I do not feel safe.” Respond calmly, believe the need for protection and use the proper safeguarding route.

Safeguarding boundary: physical or sexual violence, threats, stalking, forced marriage, reproductive coercion, economic abuse, isolation, faith-based intimidation and patterns of controlling behaviour are not ordinary disagreements to be solved by a worksheet. Immediate danger requires local emergency help. A person seeking safety should contact a trusted specialist service, healthcare professional, safeguarding lead or police route appropriate to their country. Do not alert an alleged perpetrator, mediate a high-risk case or store a survivor’s plan where it can be found.

But consort with them in kindness, for if ye hate them it may happen that ye hate a thing wherein Allah hath placed much good.

Compare · A. Yusuf Ali

Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may Take away part of the dower ye have given them,-except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. Kindness check: Are words truthful? ______. Is either person ridiculed or frightened? ______. Are food, clothing, housing or agreed support withheld? ______. Can both seek knowledge and professional help? ______. Are apologies followed by changed conduct? ______.

A preference may be negotiated. An established right is not merely a preference. A safety threat is not a negotiation topic.

Evidence practice: write the exact claim, then label its source: Qur’an, authentic hadith, qualified fiqh, verified biological or social evidence, local law, family custom or personal preference. Ask whether the statement addresses every person, an average, a defined role or one case. Qur’an 4:35 describes arbiters where marital breach is feared and reconciliation is intended. The workbook treats this as a conflict route only after safety screening.

Conflict fields: Is each person free to speak? ______. Can either reject the process? ______. Is there fear or retaliation? ______. Are mediators independent? ______. Conflicts of interest ______. Exact issue ______. Proposed repair ______. Review date ______.

If there is coercive control, serious threat, stalking, sexual violence or child risk, stop the joint process. Use specialist safeguarding, legal and emergency routes. An imam or relative should not investigate beyond competence or promise secrecy that endangers someone.

For a religious ruling, provide verified facts to a qualified scholar. For civil rights, use an authorised local legal source. For trauma and health, use qualified professionals.

Evidence practice: write the exact claim, then label its source: Qur’an, authentic hadith, qualified fiqh, verified biological or social evidence, local law, family custom or personal preference. Saheeh International is the primary reading. The two named comparisons make translation choices visible; none is presented as the Arabic Qur’an itself.

Primary · Saheeh International

O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allāh in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.

Compare · M. Pickthall

O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded.

Compare · A. Yusuf Ali

O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.

Open Qur’an 66:6 and the named translations on Quran.com

Qur’an 66:6 commands believers to protect themselves and their families. Protection combines worship, teaching, good example and practical safety; it never licenses cruelty.

Decision: Safe family discussion / qualified scholarly advice / civil legal advice / healthcare / specialist domestic-abuse support / child safeguarding / emergency help. Responsible person ______. Date ______. Evidence checked ______. Information still missing ______. Review trigger ______.

End with one truthful sentence about dignity, one specific right or responsibility, and one safe next action. Do not write “the website decided”.

Print only when useful. This workbook contains Qur’anic text and may contain sensitive information: handle sacred text respectfully and destroy confidential copies safely. Never leave a safety plan where an abusive person can discover it.

Complete the mastery check and return to the course.

Evidence practice: write the exact claim, then label its source: Qur’an, authentic hadith, qualified fiqh, verified biological or social evidence, local law, family custom or personal preference. Ask whether the statement addresses every person, an average, a defined role or one case. Open the complete source, retain conditions and recognised disagreement, and name the qualified person responsible for applying it. This prevents revelation from being mixed with assumptions and prevents a slogan from deciding someone’s rights or safety.

Version the workbook after any new incident, legal advice, scholarly answer or safety change. Label old conclusions superseded. Keep an educational copy anonymous and a real safety record only in a secure place.

Where a specialist service provides a safety plan, follow that plan instead of replacing it with this worksheet. Ask before storing contact information, and use a safe device if monitoring is suspected.

Review the family’s modesty and privacy agreement after new devices, school transitions, marriage, illness or relocation. Rights and duties remain evidence-led while practical arrangements may need revision.

Completion checkpoint: identify the exact evidence, its source category, the scope of the claim, the right or responsibility involved and any safety risk. Confirm that no family custom has been called revelation, no difference has been turned into contempt, no modesty rule has been used to blame a victim and no difficult verse has been used to block lawful protection. Where facts or authority are missing, document the question and refer safely.
