Scripture and Revelation
Muslims believe that Allah sent revelation before the Qur’an. This article explains what the Qur’an says about the Tawrah given to Musa, the Zabur given to Dawud and the Injil given to ʿIsa: that they were true revelation, how the Qur’an describes their later transmission, and why the Qur’an now stands as the criterion over them. The discussion is respectful of Jewish and Christian readers, quotes the Qur’anic passages with named translations, and avoids claims that the sources do not make. The course on the divine books in the learning library develops the subject further.
