Divine decree and human responsibility · knowledge check
This 12-question assessment checks the four-part study framework, real human responsibility, lawful effort and reliance. Every answer receives specific feedback and an exact return locator. Mastery is 100%, with review-led reattempts rather than penalty or shame. Use the sources before guessing.

Primary · Saheeh International
And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.
Compare · M. Pickthall
And with Him are the keys of the Invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).

Read Qur’an 6:59, 54:49 and 57:22–23. The quiz asks what they establish about knowledge, measure and writing, and what they do not reveal about individual futures. Remember that knowledge, writing, will and creation are four teaching headings assembled from several texts, not a numbered Qur’anic list.
Learning move: Before pressing start, explain why a framework can be useful without becoming new revelation. Each heading must remain traceable to its own controlled locator, and every hidden mechanism must stay outside the answer choices. Write the four locators once so later corrections return to evidence rather than memory.

Read Qur’an 81:28–29 and 76:3 as connected evidence. One-sided answers will either make the human will independent or erase meaningful response. The correct answer keeps human willing and accountability under Divine will without inventing the unseen mechanism.
Learning move: A correct response will never protect Divine will by deleting the human willing named in the first verse, or protect agency by removing dependence in the second. Read the pair as one evidence unit.

Allāh does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Compare · M. Pickthall
Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as thou didst lay on those before us! Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

Those who associated [others] with Allāh will say, "If Allāh had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but misjudging."
Compare · M. Pickthall
They who are idolaters will say: Had Allah willed, we had not ascribed (unto Him) partners neither had our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught. Thus did those who were before them give the lie (to Allah's messengers) till they tasted of the fear of Us. Say: Have ye any knowledge that ye can adduce for Us? Lo! ye follow naught but an opinion, Lo! ye do but guess.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
Those who give partners (to Allah) will say: "If Allah had wished, we should not have given partners to Him nor would our fathers; nor should we have had any taboos." So did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted of Our wrath. Say: "Have ye any (certain) knowledge? If so, produce it before us. Ye follow nothing but conjecture: ye do nothing but lie."

Careful reading aid
A human-reviewed full transliteration is being prepared. Listen to the complete ayah and use the Arabic with a capable teacher rather than relying on an unreviewed technical conversion.
Transliteration can help you begin, but it cannot reproduce every Arabic sound or replace listening, tajwid study, or correction from a capable teacher.
Interlinear word study
Read from right to left. Each column keeps one Arabic word, its reading aid and its contextual gloss together. Select a word to hear it.

Meaning in translation
Saheeh International is the primary reading. The two named comparisons make translation choices visible; none is presented as the Arabic Qur’an itself.
Primary · Saheeh International
Say, "With Allāh is the far-reaching [i.e., conclusive] argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all."
Compare · M. Pickthall
Say – For Allah's is the final argument – Had He willed He could indeed have guided all of you.
Compare · A. Yusuf Ali
Say: "With Allah is the argument that reaches home: if it had been His will, He could indeed have guided you all."

Qur’an 2:286 joins capacity, earning and dependence. Qur’an 6:148–149 rejects using hidden Divine will as an unsupported excuse against revealed guidance. Questions may include coercion, illness, intrusive thoughts or unequal circumstances. Choose the option that avoids a personal faith verdict, preserves accountability and refers individual culpability to qualified assessment where necessary.
Learning move: The assessment cannot decide whether a named person had full capacity, understood a rule or acted under coercion. Where facts are incomplete, choose the answer that protects dignity and refers appropriately.
A learner-facing transliteration is deliberately withheld until the complete Arabic wording has passed assigned language review. Learn the supplication from a capable teacher rather than guessing from English letters.
Meaning in English
This is a source-bound editorial paraphrase for understanding. It is not the Arabic report and is not presented as a verbatim translation.
Editorial paraphrase
Abu Huraira reported Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him) teaching believers to pursue what benefits, seek help from the Creator and not surrender to helplessness.
Evidence use
This holds responsible effort, dependence and post-event discipline together.

Collection and locator
Sahih Muslim 2664; Book 46, Hadith 52
Chapter shown by source
Belief in Divine decree and submission to it
Narrator
Abu Huraira
Displayed grading
Sahih — Sahih Muslim collection. This records the named grading shown by the source; Tawheed Club does not silently present it as an unqualified editorial verdict.
Arabic scope
The action-and-reliance clause is retained. The full report also addresses comparative strength and corrosive counterfactual regret after an event.
Evidence boundary
Not a ban on responsible review, repentance or repair; Prophetic hadith, not Qur’an or hadith qudsi.
Controlled check
Collection, number, chapter context, Arabic report text, displayed grading and source URL checked 30 August 2026. Qualified hadith and Arabic review remain release gates.
Sahih Muslim 2664 teaches pursuit of benefit, Divine help and resistance to helplessness. The assessment distinguishes reliance from passivity and useful review from corrosive replay. Lawful treatment, study, reporting and repair remain compatible with qadar.
Learning move: The hadith panel is not a slogan promising success. It teaches an active orientation: beneficial effort, Divine help and refusal of helplessness. Outcomes remain unowned and unseen.
How feedback and mastery work
Answer all 12 questions, then read feedback for every choice. Each explanation names the preserved or broken distinction and provides a return locator. Signed-in learners can save score, time, attempts and progress. A failed attempt is a study signal, never a verdict on belief.
Learning move: After a missed answer, return to the exact section, write the corrected relationship and try again. Repeated clicking without source review may change a score but does not demonstrate learning.
For adults assigning the assessment
Assign Lessons 085 and 086 first. Ask learners to explain one correction aloud before reattempting. Do not use a scenario to demand disclosure of abuse, illness or family conflict. Reset only for a useful rework cycle, and seek safeguarding or professional help whenever a real situation requires it.
Learning move: Adults should review attempts as evidence of where teaching is needed. Time taken can guide support, but speed is not faith, intelligence or mastery. The learner may pause whenever distress or safeguarding concern appears. A reset begins a new learning cycle; it must never erase the dignity or earlier effort of the learner.

Qur’an evidence
Qur'an-primary; controlled Quran Foundation QPC Hafs panels. Named translations are visibly labelled and are not revelation. Named tafsir remains attributed commentary. Arabic, word alignment, transliteration and named translations are supplied through the separately labelled Quran Foundation panels.
Hadith evidence
Controlled authenticated record: muslim:2664. The collection and reference are preserved; a named displayed grading is not silently changed into a universal claim.
Teaching explanation
Explanatory prose, examples, diagrams and adult teaching advice are Tawheed Club editorial material. They are never presented as Qur’an, translation, tafsir or words of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him).
Release control
This item must pass source, meaning, language, editorial and release checks. Corrections remain welcome when supported by an exact source locator.
Help a learner master Divine Decree and Human Responsibility: Knowledge Check
Divine decree and human responsibility · knowledge check Your role is to slow the learning down, keep the exact evidence visible and make it safe for the learner to say, “I am not sure yet.”
Begin with the source
Open the named ayah or hadith before explaining it. Tell the learner whether they are seeing Arabic revelation, a reading aid, a named translation, a hadith translation or editorial teaching.
Invite an answer before helping
Ask one precise question and wait. If the learner struggles, point to the relevant line, narrow the choice or replay the audio before supplying the answer.
Correct with dignity
Praise honest checking and careful effort. Correct the idea or sound without labelling the learner, and never turn a mistake into embarrassment.
01Prepare a focused session
Read Divine Decree and Human Responsibility: Knowledge Check yourself and open every cited source before inviting the learner.
Choose one realistic aim from the mastery statement. Do not try to teach the whole page in one sitting.
Test any Arabic audio. If a sound is outside your confidence, plan to listen together and seek correction from a capable teacher.
Remove distractions and decide when to stop: about 8–10 minutes for a younger child, 15–20 minutes for ages 8–11, or 20–30 minutes for an older learner.
Keep paper optional. If Qur’anic text is printed, follow the respect and waste guidance shown above the ayah panel.
Opening words: “We are going to learn one idea carefully and see exactly where it comes from. We can pause, replay and check the source whenever we need to.”
02Use a source-led teaching conversation
Connect: Ask what the learner already thinks the title means. Record the answer without immediately judging it.
Read or listen: Open the first evidence panel or cited report. Hear the complete Arabic before isolating one word or phrase.
Notice: Ask the learner to identify the exact words that support the first teaching point. A contextual word gloss is a clue; the complete named translation supplies the sentence meaning.
Explain: Read the teaching paragraph. Ask, “Which part came directly from the source, and which part is the writer helping us understand?”
Apply: Choose one practice task. Keep everyday examples within the boundary of the source; do not invent promises, hidden causes or rulings.
Retrieve: Close the explanation and ask the learner to state the idea, evidence locator and one careful application in their own words.
03Questions for this exact resource
“What does Revisit the controlling decree panels mean here, and which words or source locator support your answer (Qur'an 6:59)?”
“What does Keep both wills visible mean here, and which words or source locator support your answer (Qur'an 54:49)?”
“Which sentence is revelation or hadith, and which sentence is explanation?”
“What would be an overstatement that the cited source does not allow us to make?”
04Adapt the same truth for different ages
Ages 5–7
Teach one short source phrase and one meaning. Use text cards, colour bands, paths or simple geometric symbols—never a picture of اللّٰه(ALLAH) and never an image that implies His form. Let the child point, match, listen and repeat once or twice.
Ages 8–11
Use two or three evidence cards and ask the learner to match each idea to its locator. Invite a short explanation in their own words, then reopen the source to correct it together.
Ages 12–15
Compare the named English translations where provided. Ask what wording differs, what remains constant, and why a translation must not be called the Arabic Qur’an itself.
Ages 16+ and adults
Require a precise claim, an exact source locator and a stated boundary. Invite the learner to distinguish established meaning from inference and to mark any unresolved question for qualified review.
05Support Arabic without creating false confidence
Listen to the whole ayah or supplication first.
Follow the Arabic from right to left and use the word-level controls only after hearing the complete wording.
Treat transliteration as temporary scaffolding. It cannot reproduce every Arabic sound.
Let the learner echo a short unit, then return it to the full phrase so meaning and pronunciation remain connected.
If neither of you can hear or form a sound confidently, record it for a capable Qur’an or Arabic teacher. Do not manufacture an English substitute and call it exact.
Gentle correction: “Let us listen once more and notice where the sound begins,” protects both accuracy and confidence.
06Choose one useful follow-up
Answer all twelve questions.
Use the answer-specific feedback and exact source locators before retrying until 100% mastery.
Complete one task independently before adding another. Adult support should reveal the route, not hide whether the learner can use it.
07Revisit for durable mastery
After 24 hours · five minutes
Ask for the central idea without showing the answer.
Ask the learner to find its source locator.
Replay one Arabic phrase and reconnect it to the complete meaning.
Correct by reopening the source, then end with one successful retrieval.
After seven days · eight minutes
Ask for the idea, source and boundary in the learner’s own words.
Retry the most difficult mastery question.
Apply the idea to one new but appropriate situation.
Record what is secure and what needs another supported attempt.
