Parents, Kinship, Neighbours, Ageing, Death and Bereavement · lesson 2
The Qur’an places relatives and neighbours within an ordered field of worship and social responsibility. Authenticated Sunnah makes the neighbour’s safety, the guest’s honour, good speech and active kinship serious expressions of faith. Community care must be real, but it cannot be used to silence safeguarding reports or demand unsafe access.

Ayah 4:36
A human-reviewed full transliteration is being prepared. Listen to the complete ayah and use the Arabic with a capable teacher rather than relying on an unreviewed technical conversion.
Transliteration can help you begin, but it cannot reproduce every Arabic sound or replace listening, tajwid study, or correction from a capable teacher.Read from right to left. Each column keeps one Arabic word, its reading aid and its contextual gloss together. Select a word to hear it.
Saheeh International is the primary reading. The two named comparisons make translation choices visible; none is presented as the Arabic Qur’an itself.
Worship Allāh and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allāh does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful,
And serve Allah. Ascribe no thing as partner unto Him. (Show) kindness unto parents, and unto near kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and unto the neighbour who is of kin (unto you) and the neighbour who is not of kin, and the fellow-traveller and the wayfarer and (the slaves) whom your right hands possess. Lo! Allah loveth not such as are proud and boastful,
Serve Allah, and join not any partners with Him; and do good- to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your right hands possess: For Allah loveth not the arrogant, the vainglorious;-

Qur’an 4:36 joins worship without partners to good treatment of parents, relatives, vulnerable people and both near and distant neighbours. Choose one specific, consent-based act of care rather than treating community as a slogan. Read the complete evidence panel and keep the revealed wording, explanation, practical method and qualified application visibly distinct.
Read the complete evidence panel before reducing it to a step. The Arabic, named translation, source locator and explanation have different roles; preserving those roles lets a learner worship with confidence without turning a short guide into an unsupported ruling.
Keep three lines in your notes: what the source explicitly says, what this lesson explains, and what remains for qualified review. That structure makes later correction clear rather than embarrassing.
Apply this principle only after the person’s age, understanding, safety, capacity, rights and local setting have been checked. This is general education, not a personal medical, mental-health, safeguarding, funeral, family-law or civil-law ruling. Abuse, immediate danger, a child or adult-welfare concern, impaired capacity, severe distress and governing local law require appropriate qualified or emergency support before indexing.

Indeed, Allāh orders justice and good conduct and giving [help] to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.

Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition.

Qur’an 47:22–23 gives a severe warning about spreading corruption and severing kinship. Repair ordinary neglect through safe contact, truthful apology and dependable action. Read the complete evidence panel and keep the revealed wording, explanation, practical method and qualified application visibly distinct.
Calm completeness is the goal. Repeating an action without evidence, rushing past a required distinction, or ignoring real harm can all move the learner away from careful worship. Work through the evidence once slowly, check once, and improve through reviewed teaching.
An adult guiding a child should praise careful attention and an honest “I need to ask” answer. The aim is worship with understanding, not performance for the teacher.
The warning does not require direct contact with an abuser, breach of a court order or exposure of a child or vulnerable adult to harm. This is general education, not a personal medical, mental-health, safeguarding, funeral, family-law or civil-law ruling. Abuse, immediate danger, a child or adult-welfare concern, impaired capacity, severe distress and governing local law require appropriate qualified or emergency support before indexing.

Anas reported that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace and blessings be upon him) connected maintaining kinship ties with expansion in provision and extension in one’s trace or life.

Sahih al-Bukhari 5986 connects maintaining kinship with blessing in provision and one’s trace or life. Use a proportionate form of contact, care or mediation that is genuinely safe. Read the complete evidence panel and keep the revealed wording, explanation, practical method and qualified application visibly distinct.
For a younger learner, use plain words, a visual sequence without animate imagery and one correction at a time. Adults should protect privacy, explain unfamiliar terms and never use religious teaching to shame a child.
If terminology becomes difficult, return to the practical question: what is the learner preparing to do, which step is established here, and what fact about the person or situation could change the answer?

Distinguish a revealed command, an authenticated Prophetic demonstration and a later legal classification. They work together, but they are not interchangeable. Where recognised schools differ, this resource labels the difference instead of presenting one view as the only Islam.

Sahih al-Bukhari 6018 joins not harming a neighbour, honouring a guest and speaking good or remaining silent. Offer proportionate hospitality and stop gossip, insults and inflammatory sharing. Read the complete evidence panel and keep the revealed wording, explanation, practical method and qualified application visibly distinct.
Save the exact point that needs review. A useful learning record says what was completed, what remains uncertain, which source was checked and who should help next. That is more valuable than a confident tick beside a misunderstood step.
Explain the practice in plain language before using legal vocabulary. If the simple sentence overstates the evidence, a technical Arabic label will not repair it.
Remaining silent never means concealing abuse, danger, crime or a safeguarding concern from an appropriate authority. Adult companion · lesson · TC-LESSON-206 The Qur’an places relatives and neighbours within an ordered field of worship and social responsibility. Authenticated Sunnah makes the neighbour’s safety, the guest’s honour, good speech and active kinship serious expressions of faith. Community care must be real, but it cannot be used to silence safeguarding reports or demand unsafe access. Your role is to slow the learning down, keep the exact evidence visible and make it safe for the learner to say, “I am not sure yet.” Open the named ayah or hadith before explaining it. Tell the learner whether they are seeing Arabic revelation, a reading aid, a named translation, a hadith translation or editorial teaching. Ask one precise question and wait. If the learner struggles, point to the relevant line, narrow the choice or replay the audio before supplying the answer. Praise honest checking and careful effort. Correct the idea or sound without labelling the learner, and never turn a mistake into embarrassment. Opening words: “We are going to learn one idea carefully and see exactly where it comes from. We can pause, replay and check the source whenever we need to.” Teach one short source phrase and one meaning. Use text cards, colour bands, paths or simple geometric symbols—never a picture of اللّٰه (ALLAH) and never an image that implies His form. Let the child point, match, listen and repeat once or twice. Use two or three evidence cards and ask the learner to match each idea to its locator. Invite a short explanation in their own words, then reopen the source to correct it together. Compare the named English translations where provided. Ask what wording differs, what remains constant, and why a translation must not be called the Arabic Qur’an itself. Require a precise claim, an exact source locator and a stated boundary. Invite the learner to distinguish established meaning from inference and to mark any unresolved question for qualified review. Gentle correction: “Let us listen once more and notice where the sound begins,” protects both accuracy and confidence. Complete one task independently before adding another. Adult support should reveal the route, not hide whether the learner can use it.See exactly where this resource comes fromQur’an, authentic hadith and editorial boundaries are kept distinct
